Off Campus Days...
Personally, I find on campus days less stressful, more interesting, and thus more enjoyable that off campus days because I have a teacher in the room with me to help me with concepts I don’t comprehend and fellow students to keep the setting lighthearted and interesting. I have none of these things while at home, and I have a much more difficult time staying on task when at home with no one watching my work, which can lead to less effectiveness when at home. Unfortunately, home is where I complete most of my assignments that are graded, not counting tests, of course.
On the topic of tests, another reason I don’t prefer to be at home is because that is where my studying is done, and while I’ve always considered myself one who enjoys school in general, I’ve never been a fan of studying. Unfortunately, I’m beginning to see its importance as I progress through high school and experience higher-level classes. That’s yet another thing that adds to my stress while at home- the overall level of difficulty is constantly increasing as I grow older, which I know is necessary but I still don’t enjoy.
As for some things I do enjoy about my home day, I thoroughly enjoy the added flexibility those days give me in instances such as work. I don’t have this flexibility on my on campus days, which is one major upside to the home days. One other reason I feel like off campus days are useful is the fact that it maintains a certain novelty to on campus days; in other words, I enjoy the days I’m at school more because I’m not there every day, and this makes me look forward to them all the more.

AP World History
While it’s not a conventional system, it’s become a comfortable one for me in my third year enrolled here. And to be honest, I don’t know what I’d do if I weren’t here at Cornerstone- I’ve never experienced, seen, or heard about anything comparable.
