Put Away those #2 Pencils!
The world of standardized achievement testing is changing across the country, and that includes Cornerstone Prep. With the discontinuation of the Stanford Achievement Test, we have done our research and in March 2017, we will be administering the CTP4, which stands for Comprehensive Testing Program to our 3rd through 8th graders.
On Tuesday, January 3, 2017, we will have a representative from the parent company here on campus. Just for you that day, there will be a special Parent University from 3-4 p.m., in addition to the staff training that day.
At this meeting he will help parents understand the differences you’ll see in the testing protocol (all online) and in the scoring comparisons (students only compared to other independent school students), and you’ll begin to understand why we’ll only be testing your students in the subject areas they take here at Cornerstone Prep

Would you like to feel more confident and better equipped to establish balance around screen time? Do you have messy struggles at home over social media or screen time?
We’re combining State of the School and the movie "Screenagers" on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, from 6:30-8 p.m. Come hear about registration and updates for next year and enjoy watching this award-winning movie, “a must see for anyone with kids in their lives”!
Last year at this time, we were packing up our belongings and beginning the move to our new campus. This month we’re preparing for our one-year walkthrough of the building with our contractor. God has truly blessed us in these twelve months.
Look what your generous giving has allowed us to do this past year:
- Purchase the “yellow house”
- Construct our additional parking area
- Raise funds for turning the field green, including fencing to protect our investment
- Begin a cross country track on property
- Create our own outdoor garden area, with the greenhouse & hoop garden soon to be installed
- Add considerable soundproofing, lighting, draperies & staging in our Den for the fine arts productions
- Install the screen divider in the gym, along with a great scoreboard & roster boards
- Complete our playground & playfield
To God be the glory for all that has been accomplished during this time!
