"You will want to join us for a night filled with fun and an experience you won’t forget," said Marisa, "We will be bringing you front row seats to Cornerstone’s first full fashion show featuring Marque Modest Apparel’s fall collection. The event will give you the opportunity to witness how high end fashion can reflect modesty in a Christian girl’s life."
Marisa promises styling tips, beauty products, jewelry, discounts, and the first look to Marque’s second fall collection of the year. She compared it to the show "Project Runway", for any fans out there. Even if you aren't fan of the show, she encouraged everyone to attend.
"Still come out and have the opportunity to dress up with your friends and have time away to relax. There will be special guest speakers, Jillian Cosgrove and Lonnie Free, who will be answering and giving advice to some of the toughest struggles Christian girls face today. I promise this is a night you won’t want to miss!"
Many of you may already be familiar with Jillian Cosgrove, director of school counseling at Cornerstone Prep. She has been a teacher for 20 years and a school counselor for 10 years. Mrs. Cosgrove began the school counseling program at Cornerstone three years ago.
"As a Christian woman, my values concerning modesty demonstrate my respect for myself, my husband, and who Christ created me to be as a reflection of him," said Mrs. Cosgrove, "These values fly in the face of a culture that embraces women as an object of lust and desire and instead helps me maintain my dignity and knowledge that my identity truly is in Christ and not in this world.
Lonnie Free--The Male Perspective
Lonnie comes to share the male perceptive on women's fashion. He is an intern at First Baptist Church of Woodstock and originally from Tuscaloosa Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama where he majored in public relations. After graduation, Mr. Free went on to Fire School when God called him to ministry. His passions are Jesus and Alabama Football, Roll Tide.
“The bible teaches that the things we say are an overflow of the heart. We speak in two ways, verbally and nonverbally," said Mr. Free, "This means that the modesty issue is very important because it is an issue of the heart. Imagine if you said verbally to someone what you were saying to them non verbally through the way you dress."
