Cornerstone Preparatory Academy Guidelines for Transfer Credit
Cornerstone Preparatory Academy accepts application for transfer credit from any student who is currently enrolled at CPA or who is entering CPA for the first time. The application will be reviewed and approved by the Academic Advisor and Academic Deans before credit will be granted. Simply turning in an application for transfer credit does not ensure approval. Please review the procedures for acceptance of transfer credit and submit an application accordingly. The class submitted for transfer credit must be equivalent in content, level and rigor offered by Cornerstone Preparatory Academy.
I. Students transferring credits from an accredited high school
A. The student must have a final grade of 74% or higher.
B. Submit an official transcript from the school where the student
received the actual credit.
II. Students transferring academic credits from a private unaccredited high school, an informal setting with a paid instructor, or home school
A. An official grade report must be submitted. The student must have a
final grade of 74% or higher.
B. The student must have used a standard high school level textbook.
(Please note that a fill-in-the-blank workbook approach will not be
acceptable.)

fine arts or P.E. course will require a final teacher evaluation.)

independent work in order to receive one semester (1/2 Unit) of credit.
All transfer credit requests will be reviewed on an individual basis. Parents will be notified in writing whether or not their applications have been approved. Transfer credits are not applied to a student’s grade point average, unless the credit comes from a nationally accredited institution.
