As part of their study of Chinese history and culture, Mrs. Boyd's seventh-grade World History students produce display boards with maps, story-wheels, culture quilts, postcards, and current events. Their unit on China culminates in a China Day celebration, when parents are invited to view the display boards and everyone partakes in traditional Chinese cuisine.
"We all ate fungus, dumplings, rice, and tea-eggs and listened to a fascinating speaker who shared how God's story is revealed in the symbols of the ancient Chinese language," said Mrs. Boyd.
