Intentionality

Welcome to the 2024-25 School Year! We are honored that you have chosen to partner with us to “build in your children a firm foundation of academic excellence and Christian discipleship.”

This year’s theme verse provides a glimpse into how we purpose to accomplish the mission set before us as a school and as parents.

This verse is a special one to me as it was the life verse that my Grandma Bell spoke over me when I was a child. Although I haven’t always been successful in implementing these biblical principles, the verse and it’s challenge have been a constant throughout my life.

The actions words - trust and submit - carry such weight all on their own and then He adds, “in all your ways.” These words and the challenge presented speak to INTENTIONALITY. We all have a choice to either allow life to just fluidly happen around us or to make an intentional choice of how we will approach life in our homes, churches, workplaces, schools, and relationships.

In Deuteronomy 6, immediately following the challenge to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your strength,” the Israelites were instructed, “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Intentionality in all areas of life, or as Proverbs 3:6 says, “in all your ways.”

This year, at Cornerstone Prep, we covenant with you to be intentional in trusting in and submitting to the Lord individually, as school faculty, and school staff as we seek to fulfill our partnership with your family for your child’s academic growth and spiritual development.
