What is it?

The Georgia Promise Scholarship is Georgia’s new school choice voucher program that provides up to $6,500 per year to each eligible student in grades K-12 to pursue the education option best suited for their child’s needs. The program is limited in nature compared to a universal school choice voucher program, but still provides a meaningful benefit to eligible families moving from public schools or rising kindergarten students.

Who Qualifies?

  • Your child is enrolled in a Georgia public school and will be in grades K-12 in 2025-26, AND
  • Your child resides in a Georgia public school attendance zone on the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement’s list of the 25% lower performing schools, AND
  • You have lived in Georgia for at least one year (with the exception of active-duty military)

How Do I Apply?

Submit your Georgia Promise Scholarship application directly with the Georgia Promise Scholarship Program’s online application portal, which will be open between Mar 1 and Apr 15, 2025.
