Why Cornerstone?

In Their Own Words...

Sandru family photo
We love that our child is growing not only academically, but also spiritually. God is the foundation of Cornerstone and that was very important to us. We do not take for granted the at-home days and the precious time we get to spend with our child. The teachers and staff are top notch, and we have always felt like family. Cornerstone truly is a blessing to our family!

I am incredibly thankful for my teachers at Cornerstone. I'm currently studying to be a teacher, and I am finding that my Cornerstone teachers have been excellent role models. Their willingness to get to know me as a person and push me academically continue to bless me in so many ways.

Asked my 8th-grader, “How was your orientation day?” I was not prepared for her response...“Mommy, I’m overwhelmed with God’s love for me. I saw His love for me in my teachers and classmates. I’m overjoyed.” Yes, I recommend Cornerstone, because of Christ Alone!

The Owens Family
This school is the perfect blend for parents who want to spend more time with their kids and be more involved with their education, but also want their children to have a school experience! The class sizes help students feel loved and valued. The teachers and staff are truly amazing!

I love Cornerstone because all my friends and I love to do school work. All the teachers are so nice and kind. They teach me a lot of stuff that helps me learn. I also like that the students get a Christmas present from the school every year. Last year we got swings!

The hybrid format is amazing because it has allowed me to have the normal high school experience of interacting with others and playing sports, but has also been a tremendous help in preparing me for college and becoming more independent with the home days. The flexible schedule has also made it easy for me to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays and have plenty of time to get my assignments done if I manage my time well.

I love Cornerstone because it allows you to have a great education but from a Christian perspective. I also love the dynamic between teachers and students; the teachers really care about our futures and want us to succeed.

I like Cornerstone because it is a godly school and everybody is kind and compassionate. I love how I only go a few days a week, and I get to spend the rest of my time with family while learning and having time to participate in activities I love, such as golf!

Cornerstone taught me a ton about personal time management. It has been an easy transition into college because I've been able to take the tools I learned in high school and apply them to my college classes. Already having a good understanding of time management has kept my stress level down so much, which has helped me be able to enjoy my experience in college.

I’m very thankful for all the opportunities I was given at Cornerstone to pursue what I love to do. Now that I find myself fulfilling dreams like running a soccer blog, hosting a radio show, and studying abroad in Latin America, I can look back and trace all these opportunities back to chances I had to foster and pursue those passions at Cornerstone. That's one of the greatest blessings I think I could ever receive from my high school.

The Martin Family
I cannot say enough about Cornerstone Prep. This school and staff and student body have been a true God-send to my son and our family. This is an amazing place where students are challenged academically and spiritually. The way the staff loves on these students is wonderful. I wish my son would have been at CPA from the very beginning, and I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend this school. Our family has been truly blessed, and my son has been transformed by God through CPA!

Cornerstone has given me exposure to many opportunities and allowed me to discover what I am passionate about. Going into 7th grade at Cornerstone, I had never painted a completed artwork in my life, but after taking Art as an elective through middle school and high school, I now oil paint every day! If it wasn't for Cornerstone's Internship Program, I would have never even considered completing an internship before college, but I have now completed two internships, one for a graphic designer and one for a U.S. Senate Campaign. These two examples are just the tip of the iceberg of what Cornerstone has helped open the door to in my life.

My education at Cornerstone helped me greatly in preparing me for college and helping me with my music career up to this point. I actually learned how to play guitar by taking a guitar elective class at Cornerstone when I was in the sixth grade. I was also given opportunities at Cornerstone to pursue my musical interests, especially my passion for worship, by leading worship in chapel and FCA. I would not be where I am today without Cornerstone.

Cornerstone best prepared me for college by teaching me the importance and benefits of hard work. The curriculum at Cornerstone is demanding and time consuming, but as a result, I learned that I can accomplish almost anything that I am determined to complete. Because of a demanding curriculum, I was taught a work ethic that sustains me through college.
