Please print and return the YMCA Camp High Harbour Release Form to the Front Desk by Fri, Sep 11 We are looking forward to our annual high school retreat on Thu, Sep 24. As you know, we will not be able to accommodate an overnight experience for the students this year but look forward to a special day for our students to spend time together and get to know one another outside of the classroom as well as receive spiritual refreshing through group worship. What to Bring - Bible, notepad, and pen
- Water bottle
- Drawstring bag to hold wet clothes and towel at the end of the day
- Closed toe shoes for activities
- Towel
- Sunscreen
- Medications with instructions (prescription medications should be checked in with staff at drop off)
- NO CELL PHONES OR ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Dress Code - Clothing for outdoor activities:
- Shorts must be at least mid thigh; no short shorts allowed
- T-shirts (does not have to be Cornerstone T-shirt)
- Swimsuit or dark shorts and shirt for water activities:
- Cornerstone Guidelines: Swimwear shall be modest. Females must wear a suit where no midriff is showing.
- Closed toe shoes for activities. Swim shoes may be used for lake activities.
Health & Safety Protocol - Temperature checks upon arrival and answer three screening questions.
- Mask to be worn all day except while eating and during the two hour lake activity block. Masks are required by the camp. They are not optional for this event.
- Students at the retreat will be split by grade for activities and meals.
- Chapel time will be split into two groups: 9th/10th and 11th/12th.
- All activities are outdoors except for corporate worship.
Miscellaneous - Eat breakfast before you arrive.
- Lunch, snacks, and dinner is provided. Allergy friendly meals will be provided.

The retreat is included in your student activity fee. -
There are no school assignments on retreat days. -
If you are not comfortable with your student participating in the retreat due to health concerns, please complete this form by Fri, Aug 21 to allow your student to opt out. Those who do not attend the retreat and at-home learners will be required to watch the retreat message and write a two-page, typed reflection that will count as a course grade. A Zoom link will be shared with your student. The paper is due Mon, Oct 5, and should be emailed to the attention of Pastor Nolan. |
