Our Farm2Fork class encourages students to eat healthy and buy local to get the freshest, most nutrient-rich produce. The closest farmer to Cornerstone Prep is Carlton Farms in Rockmart, Georgia. They deliver to Cornerstone EVERY Friday for a nominal fee ($2.50) and sell a wide range of local products:

• Local honey
• Artisan cheese 
• Organic veggies
• Humanely-raised meats

The Atlanta Science Festival is fun for the whole family and runs Mar 9-23. We encourage you to take a look at the many educational opportunities available for the academic enrichment of your student.

Parents of student performers, please arrive on campus between 9 and 9:15 a.m. to be seated in the gym. 

Please join us on Thu, Mar 14, at 8:30 a.m. in the Den for an interactive event to help us manage our students' screen time and content on devices.

This will be a working session led by Amy Wilson. Please bring your device  (i.e. cell phone, tablet). We look forward to seeing you there.  

Standardized testing dates for grades 3 & 5 have changed.

We have revised testing dates due to some elementary teachers assisting with secondary IMPACT. Please see the revised test dates below.

Testing is online and will be conducted during English and Math classes.

Test Dates

• Grade 4: Tue, 3/19 & Thu, 3/21
• Grade 5: Tue, 3/26 & Thu, 3/28

Grades 5/6: Bring your fully-charged Chromebook.

Note:

• There are no make-up testing dates.
• Testing is only for students enrolled in CPA English and Math classes.

Secondary News

Attention Secondary: New GICAA sport starting up for boys and girls in grades 9-12 for 2019-20. Please come to the meeting if you are interested in shotgun/skeet shooting.

• Current eighth-graders interested but unable to attend the meeting due to the MS Dance need to complete this form.

Middle School: be ready for an evening of dancing and more!

Pray for our tennis team as they compete in the GICAA North Region Individuals Tournament tomorrow, Mar 14, at noon.

This is a single-elimination tournament held at Governors Towne Club to determine state qualifiers.

All Cornerstone students who attend any opening night of Cougar sports will receive a ticket for a free concession item up to $1.

Due to weather conditions, the Student Night for boys soccer has been rescheduled to Thu, Mar 14, at 4:30 p.m.

Students in Mrs. Chandler's elementary art classes were given the opportunity to participate in the City of Acworth's annual Arbor Day poster contest. 

This year's theme was "Meme Your Tree," where students were asked to describe a tree in a meme. 

Congratulations to this year's winners, who were recognized at the City of Acworth council meeting on Thu, Mar 7.
