Imitate

What is your first thought when you read the above word?

Reflect on this definition found in the Merriam Webster Dictionary...

To follow as a pattern, model, or example

Who do we imitate?

Young children imitate their parents.

As children grow they imitate their friends...thus the reason parents say "choose your friends wisely!"

Adulthood brings us to the point that we realize we need to be who we were created to be...

But does imitation stop??

Hopefully not! As Christians we have a precious gift, the one most worthy to imitate, someone to be the model and example for our lives.

"The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel (which means God with us)"

Matthew 1:23

During this Christmas season, throughout the upcoming new year and the future imitate the Spirit of Christ, shine His light to all those that cross your path.

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:6

Merry Christmas!
