![]() Raising Arrows: Cornerstone Family of Seven Embraces Change Sometimes God's whisper in your heart can be so soft that you barely hear it, and over time it can start thundering to the point that you will move worldly mountains to obey it.
For the Dupree family, that whisper became so loud they would do whatever it took to go where the Lord was calling their family. This is their Cornerstone story.

NEW As you may have recently read in the news, the CDC has updated its close contact quarantine guidelines. While the CDC still recommends a preferred 14-day quarantine period, they have provided several shorter quarantine options when specific criteria are met. To learn more about these options, please refer to our updated COVID-19 response plan that will be implemented school wide in January. Our response plan can also be found on the Family Portal home page.
Please make plans to join us in the Den tomorrow, Dec 10, 8:30 - 9:45 a.m. We will share LOTS of laughs as we hear from Christian comedian and Cornerstone dad Kenn Kington.
If you are unable to join us in person, join us virtually via Zoom:

We will be requiring a full 14-day quarantine for those traveling internationally. Please notify your child's principal in advance if your family has international travel plans. We will re-evaluate the policy for spring semester breaks after the new year. NEW Report cards will be released via an email from Samantha Crump on Mon, Dec 28. NEW This semester, junior Jordan Weber, has had a variety of experiences as a Fine Arts Intern. From organizational projects in the art room to painting backdrops for use in our musical theater productions, Jordan has used her talents in many ways. She has also been helping to manage Artsonia, the online gallery that we use to share the artworks of all of our K-12 art students at Cornerstone. Most recently she created an original ornament to represent our school in the Acworth Trim the Town Contest. Using a technique that she learned in elementary art class years ago, she combined tin foil, Sharpie markers, and clear acetate to create a faux stained glass look. Her subject matter of the nativity clearly represents the heart of Cornerstone. Judging of the contest has not been finalized, but we are proud of Jordan’s artistic entry, regardless if it is recognized or not. Be sure to drive through historic downtown Acworth to view all the entries. Mrs. Barrett is very grateful to have Jordan as an intern in Visual Arts this semester. Her excellent work ethic, great attitude, and skills have been a blessing to the program. We look forward to seeing more of her talent in 2021!
NEW Thank you to everyone who donated to Animal Ambassador's Mostly Mutts donation drive. Club leader, Mrs. Pitzer, dropped off your generous donations this past week. NEW As a college-preparatory school, we are excited to share with our Cornerstone family our college admissions to date. Already, 21 of our 29 seniors have received college acceptances, with seven students awarded university scholarships. Click the link below to see where our seniors are accepted: Class of 2021 College Acceptances Many college admission letters are sent after December. We will share an updated list of college acceptances again in the spring. ![]()
