Remembering Blythe Speer Today, our Cornerstone family planted a field of pinwheels in honor of Blythe's joyful, playful, and friendly spirit.
It is good for us to remember what we loved about Blythe and the memories we have with her because our fellowship with her is not over. We asked her friends and teachers who knew her well, to briefly share a memory of Blythe or a characteristic that they loved about her as we dedicate this week's Chronicle in her memory.
We invite you to share in these memories of Blythe Speer: a beloved friend, classmate, and student of the Class of 2023.

NEW A video was shared on Fri, Sep 10, informing families of our updated COVID-19 close contact quarantine protocols as well as updates regarding Secondary Student Life. Click here to see the video. Close Contact Tracing Updates: In recognition of the importance of face to face instructional time, the August 2021 Georgia DPH administrative order permits independent schools to implement a modified quarantine plan and such other mitigation measures as are deemed necessary by the individual school to protect the health and safety of the school community while providing continuity in the delivery of educational services.
Secondary Updates:
Click here to be directed to our Family Portal to view our COVID-19 Information Hub which shows our current total active case count and Response Plan. NEW Students who had their pictures taken on Aug 24 or 25, will be receiving their pictures:
Student ID cards will be distributed once we receive them. Make-up photos scheduled for Tue, Sep 21, will be distributed at a later date. Join us in the Den after car line from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, Sep 16. Coffee will be provided. PTF has planned a social time of "speed meeting" with fun “get to know you” questions and everyone will rotate through and talk to everyone. Elementary and secondary parents welcome. There are no fees or membership, and you're welcome to bring your little ones. NEW Per our lunch policy found in the Parent-Student Handbook, a check will be written after the end of each semester for any student lunch orders that fell on dates that were school-determined closings or mandatory quarantines. Regular absences and orders placed by mistake are not included in these credits. Please email Elizabeth Martin if you have any questions. Absentee picture make-up day: Tue, Sep 21 | Den | 8 - 9 a.m. This time slot is for elementary, secondary students, and staff who were absent on the initial picture day. Please make plans to have your photo taken during this time rather than contacting the TCPics studio directly for an individual sitting. We are not offering re-takes. This is only for students who were absent on their designated scheduled school picture day. NEW Look through the Lost & Found by Fri, Sep 24!
Please be aware, per our COVID-19 Response Plan, students traveling internationally (including cruises) will be required to remain out of school for the period of five calendar days after returning to the US. A negative PCR test taken on day 5 is required prior to the return to school classes and activities. Vaccination status or prior COVID-19 does not negate this requirement. Please notify your child's principal in advance if your family has international travel plans. We are still looking for a secondary tennis coach for the spring. What you need to know:
Please click here to contact Coach Campbell if you are interested or would like more information about the tennnis coaching position.

We hope our New Families will join us for a time of fellowship and encouragement!
Now that we are well into the school year and students are able to find their classrooms, we ask that if you choose to walk your student to class you get a visitors tag from the Welcome Desk. Please also remember to say goodbye at the classroom door, so that students can begin their morning classroom routines.
