Celebrating Homecoming Past & Present
Homecoming Week is fast approaching, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring together our students, alumni, parents, and friends in celebration of our school’s incredible spirit! This is one of the most cherished times of the year, packed with special events, families on campus, and unforgettable memories. Today, we’re taking a look back at Homecoming. We hope these glimpses into the past will remind us all why we love Cornerstone, why we come together year after year, and why we continue building on this tradition. As we prepare for this year’s Homecoming events, let’s take a moment to reminisce!
Looking Back on Unforgettable Moments
Mackenzie Kitchens, Sydney Leverett, Jessica Murphy, Dara Latimer, and Emily Wynn "loved dancing to the beat and enjoyed getting their groove on with their friends." Class of 2014
“I love going all out with the costumes, or doing themes with my friends! I always love seeing the look on their faces when I come in completely unrecognizable decked out in some crazy costume for theme day!” Eve Ellison. (11)
“My favorite homecoming memory was going out to dinner last year with my friends beforehand. We all had a great time talking and getting ready to head to the dance.” Anna K. (10)
”I loved running along with the rest of the conga line.” Jonathan Pardo, Class of 2014
Many of the boys enjoyed dancing with the girls including Andrew Kuntz, Class of 2013, who said “It was a life-changing experience.”
In October 2015, the student body, faculty, and staff gathered together to support the varsity football team as the Cougars hosted their first Homecoming football game.
“My favorite Homecoming memories are always the line dances. Everyone knows them, everyone has fun doing them, and it's really funny to do them in a fancy dress.” Sara Provost (12)
“My favorite homecoming memory is getting dressed up and meeting my grade at a fancy dinner as well as taking memorable pictures with them! Afterward, I enjoy driving together with my friends over to the school to dance and sing to some of our favorite songs!” Maleah Carmichael (11)

Today, we’re celebrating Homecoming by looking back at cherished memories and looking ahead to all the excitement planned for this year. These glimpses into the past remind us why we love Cornerstone, bringing us together year after year to build on this tradition. As we gear up for this year’s events, let’s take a moment to reflect on the memories that make Homecoming so meaningful!
At an age when many are still figuring out their path, Luke Josef, a Cornerstone freshman, has already found a calling that sets him apart—sharing the Gospel at a local public school. While some may view high school as a time for self-focus, Luke sees it as an opportunity to impact others through faith. His dedication to spreading the message of Christ is a powerful reminder of the boldness we are called to have in our own walk with God.
Congratulations, Cougars!
