Covering IMPACT Week in Prayer

Covering IMPACT Week in Prayer

Every spring something special happens at Cornerstone. High school classrooms give way to airports, hiking trails, city streets, and mission fields. Lessons move beyond textbooks and into real conversations, acts of service, and moments where students see God at work in the world around them.

It’s called IMPACT Week.

For one week before Spring Break, our high school students step outside the classroom to lead, learn, and serve. Rooted in the call of the Great Commission, IMPACT is designed to help students live out their faith in tangible ways. Some teams serve close to home, while others travel across the country, or even across the world, but the goal is always the same: to share Christ’s love and grow in faith along the way.

These trips don’t just happen overnight. Throughout the year, each team meets multiple times to prepare, developing leadership skills, building friendships, and praying for the people they will encounter. Students also reflect on their experiences through writing and blogging, helping them process how God is shaping their hearts through service.

This year, our students are preparing for incredible journeys:

2026 IMPACT Teams
• Gr8 State Adventure – Traveling through eight states in eight days, serving as they go
• It’s All Greek to Us! – Serving and learning in Greece
• Ministran en Roatán – Ministry in Roatán, Honduras
• Mission: Music City – Serving in Nashville, Tennessee
• Mission: Space Coast – Serving and learning in Merritt Island, Florida
• Smoky Mountains for the Soul – Service and reflection in the Great Smoky Mountains
• Starry Nights and Studio Lights – Ministry opportunities in and around Atlanta, Georgia
• Takin’ on Tucson – Serving communities in Tucson, Arizona
• Waves of Compassion – Ministry in Oahu, Hawaii

Each destination is different, but every team shares the same mission: to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

As these students prepare to go, many of us feel the same thing stirring in our hearts, a deep sense that we need to surround this week in prayer.

Prayer for safety.

Prayer for boldness.

Prayer that God will move in powerful ways through our students and in the lives of the people they serve.

As a school family, we have the opportunity to cover IMPACT week together.

A Prayer Guide for IMPACT Week

As you pray this week, consider lifting up these specific requests. Click here for a digital version of this prayer guide.

Pray for the students.

Ask God to give them courage, humility, and open hearts as they serve.

Pray for the leaders.

Lift up the staff members guiding each team as they lead, mentor, and shepherd students throughout the week.

Pray for safety and travel.

With teams traveling across the country and around the world, pray for protection, good health and smooth journeys.

Pray for the people they will serve.

Ask God to prepare hearts ahead of time and to use our students to share His love in meaningful ways.

Pray for lasting impact.

Pray that this week would shape our students for years to come, that they would return home with a deeper love for Christ and a greater passion to serve.

If you would like to follow along with what each team is doing, you can read reflections written by our students throughout the year on the IMPACT blog.

And when our teams return, we look forward to sharing the stories of how God moved during the week. Our Head of School, David Raines, will be writing a special blog in April reflecting on the IMPACT experience and highlighting the ways God worked in the hearts of our students and in the lives of the people they served.

Join Us in Prayer

We would also love for our school community to pray together.

This Friday, March 27, we will gather for a combined Praise Chapel from 9:20–10:05 a.m. in the Den to pray over our IMPACT teams and the people they will serve. Parents are warmly invited to join us as we ask God to move powerfully through this week of service.

And as they go, we go with them, in prayer.
