Facing Finals with Peace, Purpose, and a Plan

Facing Finals with Peace, Purpose, and a Plan

Finals week is right around the corner and for many of our students, this season brings a swirl of emotions, pressure, anticipation, exhaustion, and yes, sometimes a little bit of panic. It’s easy to let the weight of deadlines and the stack of study guides feel overwhelming. But before the late nights kick in and the countdown officially begins, we want to speak some truth over our students:

You are not walking into finals alone. God goes before you, walks beside you, and strengthens you every step of the way.

At Cornerstone, we have the gift of reminding each other that our worth doesn’t depend on a grade, test score, or performance. While excellence is something we strive for, identity is something we receive. Finals may test your knowledge, but they do not define your value. You are already fully known, fully loved, and fully held by the One who gives wisdom generously to all who ask.

As you prepare your mind and heart for the week ahead, here are some intentional ways to study well, stay grounded, and finish the semester strong, including some tips from our amazing teachers!

As finals approach, we are praying for our students, praying for clarity of mind, calmness of heart, endurance, and joy.

Finish strong, Cougars. You’ve got this, and more importantly, God’s got you.

A Calling Shaped By Compassion

Cornerstone is blessed by teachers who bring not only strong academic preparation, but also deep compassion and a heart for students. Mrs. Maria Andrews, who currently serves as an elementary teacher’s assistant and will be stepping into a greater teaching role next year, is one of those people. Today, read how her background in education, counseling, and psychology will bring a unique and thoughtful perspective to our school community.
