Trusting God in Seasons of Change
This time of year is always a little bittersweet within the walls of Cornerstone Prep. We are looking forward to celebrating the commencement of the Class of 2023. The students are finishing one leg of their race and embarking upon the next step. Our prayer is always that they hear and follow the Lord as He promises to direct their paths,
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
Another bittersweet moment for us is when dearly beloved staff leave our Cornerstone family. We are, however, confident that they, too, are modeling for the students what it means to trust in the Lord and follow where He leads even when it means making a difficult change of direction. While some of our staff are retiring and are looking forward to more time with family, others are moving into more full-time teaching positions in 5-day school settings, and another is taking time to hear a clear direction from the Lord. Head of School, Mrs. Robbins, shared “I always tell our staff that, while they may not be here on campus next year, they remain in our hearts as part of our Cornerstone family.”

Please join us in words of affirmation, thanks, and encouragement to all of our dedicated faculty and staff members. As we fill our faculty and staff vacancies for the upcoming school year, there will be some shifting of teaching responsibilities within the current faculty as well as prayerful additions of new faculty members. New faculty members will be introduced to the school community in one of our summer Chronicles.
“The Lord has proven His faithfulness during Cornerstone’s 19 years and we are confident that He will provide for our faculty needs as we seek to honor Him in the humbling role of partnering with you in the education of your children,” added Robbins.
