Spring - the time of year in the life of a school when we experience transition and change as one school year comes to a close and anticipation begins to build for summer and then the start of a new school year.
While there is much anticipation and excitement, there is also a sense of sadness that comes when we realize that the time at Cornerstone has come to a conclusion for beloved staff members. Both Mrs. Teresa Haas (high school Chemistry/Biology teacher) and Mrs. Raeanna Pitzer (Farm2Fork teacher) recently let us know that the Lord is calling them to a new season in life. Both of these ladies leave a strong legacy of excellence at Cornerstone Prep and both have been tremendously instrumental in growing their respective program areas over the years. Please take time to read their letters addressed to the Cornerstone parent, student, and staff community and join us in celebrating them well and encouraging them as they step into the plans the Lord has for them.
While we will be taking a break from the secondary Farm2Fork classes for the 2021-22 school year, enrollment in our elementary Farm2Fork remains very strong and we look forward to continuing that program. We are happy to announce that our very own Anne Baines will be stepping into the teaching role for elementary Farm2Fork. Most of you already know Mrs. Baines as a Cornerstone parent, teacher assistant, and volunteer extraordinaire.
Even with the recent nature of these two staff change announcements, we acknowledge the Lord’s faithfulness in providing for our needs.
Be on the lookout for more information when we announce new staff in mid-summer.
